Scrolling through my Twitter feed and reading multiple fitness blogs, I have seen probably ten different brands of cutesy workout headbands, with so many different styles and a variety of pitches to runners, spinners, or any other athletes.
But one of these headband companies has stood out to me lately, Brady Bands.
Brady Bands was named after the founder’s son Brayden, a courageous little boy who passed away in June 2012 after a year long battle with brain cancer. Brayden’s diagnosis and death highlighted the need for more funding and research to be done to find a cure for childhood cancer. Brayden’s story has touched many and has ignited a fire in those who knew him to do more to fight against childhood cancer. That’s why at least 10% of every sale will be donated to CureSearch to support research to find a cure.
The story is heartbreaking to me, but I find it amazing that through such a difficult time, Brady’s mother, Amy, found the strength to be able to create a product that she believes in, while also giving back to support childhood cancer research.
I do not often wear headbands to workout but now that the weather is getting warmer (and my body is getting sweatier!), my hair cannot make up its mind on which direction to go. My biggest gripes with headbands in the past are that they usually do not stay in place and end up just getting in the way, or if they do stay in place they give me an awful headache. Ladies, I think many of you can relate!
These headbands were perfect! They do not slip at all (wore them on a 3 mile run, plus to multiple, intense Crossfit classes) and despite being a tight fit, I hardly noticed the headband was on the whole time!
What is also great about these bands is that they range in price from $6 – $8 (including custom orders and kids sizes!) with standard shipping of only $3. They come in three sizes: 3/8″, 5/8″, 7/8″ with tons of styles to choose from!
Right now, you can take $1 off all bands when you buy 4 of more. Use coupon code HEADBANDS! And remember, with each sale, proceeds will be donated to help fund childhood cancer research.
Amy wants to help spread supporting her cause by offering up two headbands to one lucky winner! Help share her bands and enter below!
Disclaimer: I was provided two free headbands to review at no cost to me; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

How cute are those? I’ve been looking for a good headband to wear while I run – the ones I have now slip down and make my hair look even crazier than it usually does after running!

headbands are a must have for me!
My go to summer accessory has got to be a great pair of sunglasses with an army hat to keep the sun off my face or my collection of Brady Bands that I adore and love to match to my outfits with the fun designs and colors ♥
These are so cute! And what a touching story….. In the summer, I cannot live without a hat and sunglasses. Other than that, I wear as little as possible because I sweat like a pig.

I’ve had a hell of a time finding headbands that actually stay in place. The most recent ones I bought, Goody, slipped off my head right away 🙁 Great to see a company that sounds like they have a great product, and are working to support a great cause! The headband you got is really cute!

I have never ever found a headband that doesn’t slip off my huge melon head! I really need a good one because Bikram humidity and heat makes my hair look interesting…

I would have to say a headband to keep all the flyaway hairs out of my face.
My must have for working out would definitely have to be my nike+ watch lol.
I must wear headbands, not just in the summer but in the winter too! My summer and winter outfits for working out look the same.
