One thing I have learned since starting my own personal fitness journey is that no matter how much a person can have some sort of internal motivation, it is always nice to see others who are going through a similar journey or who can understand your health and fitness goals.
This week’s spotlight is on Stephanie, who not only has been working on her own fitness, but also filling her blog up with motivational fitness posts, clean eating tips, and ways to help others reach their fitness goals.

What types physical activity do you enjoy?
Playing basketball, golf, or other competitive sports
How did you get started in weight lifting? How long have you been lifting?
I got started doing it in high school when I started playing sports! We had a weight training coach to teach us the wrong/right ways to lift so I learned early the correct things to do.
Favorite workout or lift?
Crossfit! I recently went to a crossfit class with a friend and I fell in LOVE with it! It is a high intensity workout with heavy lifting. I love every second of it.
Current lifting-related goal:
To build more muscle. I want to compete in fitness competitions so in order to do that I need to get leaner and build more muscle.
Piece of advice for new lifters or those reluctant to try:
To do your research and to not be afraid to go to the gym. Some people get intimidated so DON’T! Work out for you and don’t worry about anyone else around you.
Strong is beautiful!!

Love those guns! I love that you got started with sports. Same here. Just goes to prove how important it is to get young women and girls involved in sports.
